GGG and Shaggy

GGG and Shaggy

In a city full of monsters, there lived a monster named the Goolapus Goolapus Goopaw. She was a short monster about 4ft 9in whose hands turned into stingers when she got mad. She looked like the typical monster with blue fuzzy legs, purple fuzzy torso  and red fuzzy head, another feature she had an extendable torso so she could move around quickly, but the problem was she didn’t know how to use her powers.

The school bell rings.

“I hate Shaggy. She thinks she is the Queen,” I say to myself while walking home from school. “MOM I'M HOME” I yell. My mom is a human, unlike me.

“Hey GGG what's wrong? You don’t seem in a great mood,” my mom asks as she tilted her head towards me.

“Shaggy is what’s wrong. She said that I look like an octopus and a bee combined,” I cry.

“I like octopuses. Maybe she meant it as a good thing,” Mom said. My hands start morphing into stingers. I knew I should do the breathing exercises to control my temper but I couldn't.

“Shaggy, Shaggy “the Demon,” meaning something as a good thing? Wow, even my mother doesn't care about me,” I yell in frustration. I ran to my room and started stinging my pillow.

My dad entered my room. He is Gopaw too. He knew what I was going through, right?

“GGG, you understand why us goopaws have to control our tempers right?” My dad asks in a calm tone.

“Yes, dad, I understand. I guess I was overreacting. Can you tell Mom I'm sorry? I was being very harsh,” I mumbled.

“Of course GGG, what you need is some rest. I’ll bring your dinner to the room,” my dad replies.

The rest of the night was somewhat of a blur. I did need rest but didn't get that much of it.

“GGG, wake up. You are late for school,” my mom yells . I woke up suddenly.

“The shuttle is leaving in 12 minutes!” I scream, jumping out of bed. I quickly get dressed, brush my teeth and hair, and grab my bag. I made the shuttle just in time to reach school, Mynapse. Our school is named after a part of all magical creatures' brains.

When I arrive, I start to eat the breakfast that my mom had packed for me. I only finish three fourths of my food when we arrive at school, but that is good enough. History and Math went by fast.

As I walk into the cafeteria with my lunch, I see  Shaggy the demon and Shushie together. Shushie is Shaggy’s best friend, who happens to be a fairy. To be honest I don’t expect demons and fairies to get along. As I make eye contact, I see the fire in Shaggy’s eyes. Shushie seems pretty nice, but I could tell Shaggy does not “mean well.” I walk past Shushie and Shaggy and I try to ignore them. While I try to distract myself, I think  about smells. I think the cafeteria smelled good, but before I could think any farther, Shaggy and Shushie called me over.

“Come here, or I’m coming over there,” Shaggy said. I ignore them, focusing on the tray in front of me. Ooh, chips, I LOVE CHIPS!

“I warned you, Goolapus,” Shaggy yells as she gets up and steps right in front of me.

“What are you doing you stupid fart,” Shaggy said. “Do you think you're better than us? You can’t ignore us. You're nobody.”

“Of course I’m better than you,” I replied.

“Really? Do you think so? Let's have a challenge to see who is better,” Shaggy yells, boldly.

“Okay, Shaggy, what's the challenge,” I say, knowing In my heart that I will win.

“Shushie! Give us a challenge!” Shaggy yells.

“Well, um, there is the school's haunted basement. People stay after school and see who can stay there the longest. No one has ever been able to stay overnight…” Shushie whispers.

“Deal, after school,” I exclaim.

“Deal,” she says.

For the rest of school, all I was thinking about was the challenge. I was going to beat her so bad. The end of the day went super fast. As soon as the bell rang everybody ran near the basement. The basement was deserted and scary, It felt like I had a lump in my throat, but I was not going to let Shaggy win. I will stay there as long as it takes. I made a quick call to my parents, saying I was staying over at Shushie’s. Luckily, they believed me and let me go. Shaggy said the same. It was on. She was going down.

“Are you sure you want to do this?” Sushie asked us, looking worried.

“Yes,” we both said, confident.

We walk to school, and run downstairs to the basement.

“Ok, then I guess I will leave you to it,” Shushie responded.

The basement door slammed shut, and it was only me and Shaggy in there. The first 5 mins were quiet, which was quite odd from Shaggy. So, I went and checked on her. She was playing a video game on her phone. I also wanted to play. It seemed cool.

“Hey Shaggy, what's that game? It seems cool,” I asked.

“Subway Surfers, my fav game,” Shaggy replied.“Do you wanna try?”

“Yes please,” I replied.

I played several rounds with Shaggy and she helped me through the hard levels. Maybe I was wrong about Shaggy.Maybe she was actually nice.

“Wait, I brought my phone. Can you help me download the app?” I asked.

“What is there to help?” She replied.

Same old Shaggy, I thought to myself. It took me some time, but finally I installed the game. After a couple hours, Shaggy and my phone ran out of battery. Shaggy used her demon power to recharge the phone, and we played. After another 2 hrs Shaggy and my phone ran out of battery again. When I ask Shaggy to fix it, she says she drained her powers the first time, It will take 2 days.

“Ohh no,” we both said.

“I was about to reach my high score!” Shaggy yelled.

Clearly, Shaggy’s small brain couldn't comprehend the horror of the situation. I shook it off. I'm sure we'll be fine, right?

“It's late. We should sleep,” I say.

She agrees, and we quickly fall asleep with only the creaky floorboards to accompany us.

“AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!” I wake up to shaggy screaming. I covered my ears with my hands.

“What is it?” I moan.

“Do you hear that?” Shaggy whisperers.

“What do you mea-” A scary  noise interrupts me. It was deep and growly.

“We’ve gotta get out of here,” I say.

We both run as fast as we can to the door, only to find out that it is locked.

“Ok then let's call our parents with our phones. It's okay,” Shaggy says.

Paranoia washes over me, “Wait, we drained out of the battery of the phone, remember?” I say in a panicky tone.

At that we gave up all hope. The growling became louder, and louder, and louder.

“I’m sorry GGG,” Shaggy whispered, tears rolling down her face.

“What for?” I replied.

“Well, you know, for being rude to you,” Shaggy said as she looked away from me.

“It's okay,” I smile.

During this competition, I realized that Shaggy was pretty much like me, and She         wasn't as bad as I thought.

“Soooooooo, Besties?” Shaggy asks wearily, like she was reading my thoughts.

“Besties,” I reply. The creepy noise got louder. I shut my mouth.

“I almost forgot about it,” I whispered.

“Same,” Shaggy whispers back,a terrified look on her face.

The noise slowly got louder and louder. I couldn't take it anymore. I closed my eyes and braced myself. Suddenly, the door slammed open with a bang.

“Ahhhhhhhhh!” Shaggy screamed.

Her scream seemed weirdly happy, so I opened my eyes. There, at the door, stood Shushie, my parents, and Shaggy's parents.

“Are you okay?!?” Shushie screams, running towards Shaggy. Wait, no, not Shaggy, but the both of us.

I run towards my parents, and cry.

“GGG, you are grounded for the rest of eternity,” my mom cries.

“We were so scared, PLEASE never to do that again,'' my dad said, not in his usual calm voice.

Wait, what time is it?!? I ask.

“4pm”, Sushie replies “I’m sorry, I was so scared I had to tell your parents! The door was stuck for ages, we had to use a large rock to smash it to pieces!”

“It's a good thing you did,” Shaggy's parents reply.

“It's alright,” Shaggy starts, “without you, we wouldn’t have made it out of here! We would have starved or gotten eaten by that weird alien thing.”

Our parents and Shushie exchanged, “are they crazy or what?” Looks.

“Ummmmm… What weird monster thing?” My mom says, with a voice  that worries me.

“The loud rumbling noises- the growls- the scratches. We both heard it,” I said.

Everyone laughs. Was this some sort of cruel joke to them? We were terrified.

“W-why are you laughing?” Shaggy starts to speak, “We were so scared! This isn't funny.” Shaggy replies.

“The noise was us looking for you” My mom says still laughing.

”You guys are so annoying” Says Shaggy. I comfort her.

“When did this happen? I thought you two were enemies,” the parents ask.

Shushie started to speak “I knew this would happen, that's why I gave them the idea. Obviously I didn't think they would get locked in, but they are so alike. I thought they would become besties If they got some alone time together,” Shushie says, proud of herself.

“What makes you think me and Shaggy are besties?” I say.

“Huh?” The parents and Shushie replied. Confused and puzzled.

“No, that's not what I mean. Shaggy, me, and you are besties.” I reply to Shushie.

Then they ate FFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOODDDDDDDDDDDDDDD, and all 3 of them went to school besties.
